Natural healing is often a consequence of changes in lifestyle; it is a matter of choice. Healing begins with the mind first, not the body. The mind must demonstrate the intent to heal before the innate self-healing process can begin. Natural healing is a matter of the matter.
A matter of choice
Physical wellness is more than an absence of disease, because disease may remain dormant for years before any outbreak occurs. Disease symptoms are usually precursors of a disease or an internal disorder. Natural healing is a process in which disease symptoms are removed long before they have an opportunity to strike or to cause harm.
Interestingly, natural healing is a matter of choice, not of chance, because it has to do with the mind — always mind over matter. Natural healing means taking control of your health to escape the sickness industry. To achieve that goal requires the use of mind power.
Life is full of choices. Unhealthy eating habits and a wayward lifestyle — the major causes of degenerative diseases and other health problems — are some of the bad choices in life. Although we all know that we have a choice, we make all the wrong choices knowingly anyway. In life, knowing is one thing, while doing is another; many of us simply talk the walk, instead of walking the talk. Mind power
The human brain is powerful. It has about 15 billion cells, and you may have utilized only 10 to 15 percent of your mind power, so there is still plenty of room for enhancing your mind power. Your brain is the hardware of your whole being. It plays a pivotal role in your personality, feelings, and behavior because it is the seat of your perceptions and experiences. If you want to be what you really want to be, you must make your brain work for you, not against you. In other words, you must learn how to control your thinking. If you can control your thoughts, your brain is capable of doing almost anything.
The conscious mind and the subconscious mind
You have both a conscious mind and a subconscious (or unconscious) mind, both of which are directed by our thoughts. Your actions are initiated by your thoughts, which are based on your perceptions and experiences acquired in the journey of life. To change your actions, you must change your thoughts. However, your thoughts are often deeply ingrained in your conscious mind that it is difficult to change them. The good news is that you can change your subconscious mind thereby changing your conscious mind.
In your conscious mind, you are fully aware of your actions and their consequences; in your subconscious mind, you only respond spontaneously to repetitions — repetition of words and images in the form of affirmation and visualization. In other words, if you keep on repeating positive affirmations or visualizing positive images in your mind’s eye, you can effectively change the thoughts in your conscious mind.
Body-mind connection
There is a strong connection between the body and the mind. To illustrate, many patients, receiving a placebo but believing they are getting the real medicine, often show signs of improvement, if not recovery. This attests to the power of thoughts and feelings on the body to bring about positive health effects. Your thoughts can affect not just your body and your emotions, but also your genes. According to scientific studies, how your mind processes your daily experiences can, in fact, switch on and off a particular gene responsible for a particular ailment or disease. Research has also shown that holding onto deep emotional pain, such as anger or hatred, over many years can accelerate the growth of cancer.
The good news is that you can cure aches, pains, and illnesses using your mind and your thoughts, specifically, by way of affirmation and visualization.
Effective affirmation and visualization
Words fuel your attitude, which can alter your thoughts in a positive way. Positive affirmations are powerful intentions in the subconscious mind that can change negative thoughts in your conscious mind. Meanwhile, reinforce your affirmations with powerful visual images. Remember, a picture in worth a thousand words. Visualize the outcomes of your positive affirmations; see yourself in health wellness.

Natural healing begins with banishing automatic negative thoughts (ANT) from your mind. Your negative thoughts are real to you, and must be treated as real. The goal is to change your perception of these negative thoughts.
Notice your body’s reactions to the chemicals released by your brain as these negative thoughts occur. Awareness of negative thoughts is important. Talk back to these negative thoughts whenever they occur. This is where subliminal affirmations play a pivotal part. Life itself is a challenge. Real life has real challenges and real problems. The key is to face them and learn to cope with them, instead of avoiding or running away from them. Changing your eating habits and unhealthy lifestyle is a great challenge, and the road towards reaching your goal of natural healing is always bumpy, full of hurdles and roadblocks. Overcome them, one by one, with your determination and perseverance.
To overcome your challenge, you get to know your true mettle. Your Creator has given you challenges in your life to make you a better and a healthier person. Visualize your ultimate success in your mind’s eye. View any challenge as an opportunity to change for the better.
Remember, it is all in the mind — or mind over matter. In life, every thought counts, because your actions are produced by your thoughts. Your thoughts make you who you and what you will become. It is mind over matter. Your thoughts create the “reality” for you, but they are only your perceptions, which may or may not be real. To change your thoughts or your “reality”, you need to change your perceptions. Only your subconscious mind can do that. Use positive affirmations and powerful visualization, through daily repetition, to register the “reality” in your subconscious mind, thereby instrumental in changing the thoughts in your conscious mind. Life is always mind over matter.
